As we begin planning for Canada Day 2026, we’d love to hear how you might like to be involved.

Our events are entirely volunteer-run, and there are many ways to participate depending on how much time and involvement you’re comfortable with. To help us plan effectively, we’ve outlined the different levels of volunteer involvement below and ask that you to let us know what interests you most.

Please note: Sharing your interest does not commit you to volunteering — it simply helps us understand the level of support within our community.

1. One-Time / Event Volunteer: Got a little time to spare, or want to help out without a big time commitment? Perfect! Jump in for a shift or two during setup, tear-down, or event day. It’s quick, easy, and still makes a huge difference. No long-term commitment required. This option is ideal for those looking to help occasionally with minimal time commitment.
   Volunteer opportunities may include a small amount of preparation in the week leading up to an event, as well as day-of support and tear-down. Roles are selected through our web-based volunteer schedule and include areas such as:
   • Set-up/Tear-down
   • Parking/ Greeters
   • Concessions/Vendors
   • Entertainment
   • Beer Tent
   • Children’s Activities/Attractions
   • Grounds
   • Volunteer Coordination
     …and more.

   Volunteers can choose areas that best match their interests and availability.

2. Organization / Group Volunteers: Want to roll up your sleeves a bit more? This group helps out with small tasks throughout the year and plays a bigger role during setup, the event itself, and tear-down. You might be on a committee or just someone who’s ready to jump in wherever needed. This is for folks who love being part of the action!
   
   Volunteer opportunities in this category will require more of a time commitment, including a couple of hours in the months leading up to the event to finalize planning & organization. In the weeks leading up to an event, more responsibility and commitment are required. Additionally, set-up, day-of support and tear-down assistance is to be expected.
   
   
3. Canada Day Committee Members: Want to lead the charge? This year, you’ll team up with a chair to learn the ropes, run meetings, and guide a committee. Think of it as a chance to grow into a co-chair or even take the helm in the future! If you love teamwork, planning, and seeing big ideas come to life, this is the spot for you.

   Committee members are volunteers who wish to be fully involved in planning and running a specific aspect of our event. These roles involve a greater time commitment and collaboration throughout the entire year and leading up to the event. This committee oversees the Canada Day event, with sub-committees such as Vendors, Entertainment, Beer Tent, Sponsorship, Advertising & Promotion, Attractions and more. Additionally, set-up, day-of support and tear-down assistance is to be expected.
